Following on from her debut at the Swedish Eurovision 2023 selection, Melodifestivalen 2023 participant Ida-Lova has released her new single “Tunnelbanan (Vi Tar Det En Annan Dag)” (transl.The Tunnel, We’ll Take That Another Day), which is her first release since her Melodifestivalen participation.
About “Tunnelbanan (Vi Tar Det En Annan Dag)”
Upon the release of her new entry, Ida-Lova talked more about how the song has several meanings and that we all need a break sometimes.
For me, the song has several meanings. It is partly about observations you make on the subway and in everyday life in general, how we notice others and how everyone goes through their own. But also about how we all need a break sometimes, to take the time to both stop and just see each other, but above all a break to have time to focus on the things that are nice in life and that make us feel good.
As for the production side of things, the song was written and produced by the same people who worked on Ida’s Melodfiestivalen entry “Låt Hela Stan Se På”. Ida co-wrote the song alongside Linnea Deb, Andreas Giri Lindbergh, and Joy Deb, with the latter producing the song.
