Ahead of Heat 3 of Melodifestivalen this weekend, Tim had the opportunity to speak with Ida-Lova for an interview. She will be competing in this year at Melodifestivalen with her entry “Låt hela stan se på”

During their interview Tim and Ida talked about the creative process for “Låt hela stan se på”, what we can expect from their performance this weekend, as well as Ida’s early memory of the contest.
Ida-Lova first came to prominence at the age of 13 when she performed her version of Kent’s “Utan dina andetag” during the Swedish Hero Gala in 2017. Since then, Ida has released numerous singles, as well as an EP in 2022 titled “Hallå världen kan du stanna?”
Sweden’s Eurovision Journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since its debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win six times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015).
In 2022, Sweden was represented by Cornelia Jakobs, who won the 61st edition of the competition and competed with the song “Hold Me Closer”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final and placed 4th with 438 points from the jury and televoters.
