As we get closer to Junior Eurovision next month, the remaining countries yet to reveal more information about their participation continue to reveal further information. This time, it’s Italy’s turn as RAI reveals that Melissa & Ranya will represent the country in Nice.
Further details about their entry revealed
Melissa & Ranya’s entry for Nice will be released in a few days, with the artistic director for Italy’s entry being revealed as singer-songwriter Franco Fasano. RAI Kids will also follow this year’s contest both in Nice and in Turin, with Mario Acampa being the commentator once again.
Italy’s Junior Eurovision Journey
Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu primo grande amore”. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated seven times in the contest.
Italy’s most recent participation was in 2022. Chanel Dilecta’s “BLA, BLA, BLA” finished 11th with 95 points from the jury and online voters.
