🇸🇪 Cazzi Opeia releases her new single “Taste of Heaven”

A few months on since winning Eurovision 2023 as part of the songwriting team for Tattoo, the Eurovision and American Song Contest winning songwriter has released her new single “Taste of Heaven”

About “Taste of Heaven”

For her latest release, Cazzi co-wrote “Taste of Heaven” alongside Ellen Berg, and Moonshine, who was also the producers of the track. “Taste of Heaven is a declaration of love for music. How a song can make you feel better and give you the feeling of almost flying

Speaking about the track, Cazzi Opeia talked more on how the track came to be:

The melodies came to me when I was standing in my mother’s kitchen in Mellbystrand peeling a clementine. I was quick to pick up the phone and record the ideas on a voice memo. The song was then further developed in the studio in Stockholm together with Ellen Berg and Moonshine, where we got the icing on the cake

Cazzi Opeia’s Melodifestivalen Journey

Cazzi Opeia came into prominence when she competed in Melodfiestivalen in 2022 with her entry “I Can’t Get Enough”. After making it to the final, she managed to place 9th overall in the competition. A few months later, Cazzi won as a songwriter in the 1st edition of the American Song Contest with AleXa’s “Wonderland”.

A year later, Cazzi returned to Melodifestivalen, as a songwriter where she was part of the songwriting team for Loreen’s entry “Tattoo”, which ended up being Sweden’s 7th win in the Eurovision Song Contest.
