Ireland’s Eurovision 2024 representative Bambie Thug will release the music video for their Eurovision 2024 entry “Doomsday Blue” on March 8th.
About “Doomsday Blue”
Back in January, Bambie Thug won Eurosong 2024 with their entry “Doomsday Blue”. It received 12 points from the national jury and the televote, alongside 8 points from the international vote. The music video for “Doomsday Blue” will premier this Friday morning, the 8th of March. As of the time of writing, the time that the video will air is unknown.
Ireland’s Eurovision History
In 1965, Ireland made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest. Butch Moore sang the song “Walking the Streets in the Rain”, which managed to place 6th. Since their debut, Ireland has participated 56 times (making the Grand Final 45 times), and has won the competition seven times. This is the current joint record for the most wins.
Ireland’s latest Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Wild Youth, with their song “We Are One”. They placed 12th in the semi-final, receiving 10 points from the televote, missing out on the Grand Final.
