About Maria Sur
19 year old Maria Sur is a singer originally from Ukraine, who lives and works in Sweden. She participated in the Ukrainian version of the voice in 2022, shortly before the Russian invasion, which caused her to flee from Ukraine with her mother, eventually settling in Sweden.
Keen to make it as an artist, she reached out to Swedish music figures on Instagram, eventually coming into contact with Sarah Dawn Finer, which led to her performing at a benefit concert for Ukraine at the Avicii Arena. She has previously participated with in Melodifestivalen 2023 with the song “Never Give Up”.
She is participating again this year with the song “When I’m Gone”
