As we now have the songs competing for this year’s competition in Malmö, the team at That Eurovision Site will be reacting to the entries that will be participating at Eurovision 2024. The next Eurovision 2024 entry we will be reacting to is Estonia, who will be competing in this year’s competition with “(Nendest) Narkootikumidest Ei Tea Me (Küll) Midagi” by 5miinust & Puuluup.
Our thoughts on “(Nendest) Narkootikumidest Ei Tea Me (Küll) Midagi”
In this series, we will be providing our opinions in two methods. One of our team members will be reacting on video, which you can see below, whilst up to three members of the team will be giving their written opinion on the entry. Tim will be on the main seat and will be giving his reaction to “(Nendest) Narkootikumidest Ei Tea Me (Küll) Midagi”
What did the other members of the team think of “(Nendest) Narkootikumidest Ei Tea Me (Küll) Midagi”?
Georgia: I love this. It’s super fun but still with an important message (don’t do drugs kids). I feel like having Joost in the same semi-and-half might hurt them slightly, but this still feels like a sure qualifier, especially with a televote-only voting system. I don’t know why, but I can totally see it opening the grand final in Malmö. I can see it having a “Mama ŠČ!” esque result in the finals where the juries don’t really go for it but the televote does and it ends up finishing mid-table. It’s great to see the Estonian language back at Eurovision as well.
Jazzi: This has taken me a while to warm to I won’t lie however the live performances in Eesti Laul really sold this to me. This is great fun, yet still manages to be a very respectable entry in my opinion. I expect this to do extremely well with the televote in Malmö. I even look at this as a potential televote winner in the contest. However at the time of writing it’s hard to make such a bold prediction as we only have half the songs. These are my feelings right now however.

Estonia’s Eurovision Journey
Estonia has appeared at almost every Eurovision since their debut in 1994. They have won the contest once with Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL in 2001, singing Everybody. Other notable Estonian entrants include 3rd placer Sahlene with Runaway in 2002 and Ines with Once In A Lifetime in 2000, who placed 4th. More recently, their highest-placing entries have been Urban Symphony with Rändajad in 2009 and Ott Lepland with Kuula in 2012, both of which finished in 6th place.
In 2023, Estonia elected to send Alika through Eesti Laul to the Contest with “Bridges”. She successfully qualified for the final and finshed in 8th place with 168 points. Alika finished with 146 points from the juries, and an additional 22 points from the televote.
