As we now have the songs competing for this year’s competition in Malmö, the team at That Eurovision Site will be reacting to the entries that will be participating at Eurovision 2024. The next Eurovision 2024 entry we will be reacting to is Poland, which will be participating in this year’s competition with “The Tower” by LUNA.
Our thoughts on “The Tower”
In this series, we will be providing our opinions in two methods. One of our team members will be reacting on video, which you can see below, whilst up to three members of the team will be giving their written opinion on the entry. Tim will be on the main seat and will be giving his reaction to “The Tower”
What did the other members of the team think of “The Tower”?
Shiloh: Absolutely in love with this song! I’m a longtime fan of Aurora’s music, and “The Tower” is a similar kind of music without sounding like a knockoff. The instrumental is cold and beautifully subtle, with somehow both fantasy and sci-fi vibes at the same time. I also adore Luna’s unique voice. At times, I wonder how well this will perform at Eurovision, both in terms of how Poland will stage it and how it will fare in a televote-only semifinal, but I’ve had this song on loop since I first listened and I’m certain it’ll make an appearance on my Spotify Wrapped.
Jazzi: I do really enjoy this, since it got released a couple of days ago I have had it on replay on Spotify ever since. I really like Luna’s tone when she is singing this song, adds to the atmosphere of this song for sure. I feel this has a catchy enough hook to definitely qualify for the final and potentially give Poland another left-hand side finish. This is my favourite song from Poland for years so I am really happy with this.

Poland’s Eurovision Journey
In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest, when Edyta Górniak represented them with the song “To nie ja!”, and placed 2nd, which is Poland’s best result at the contest to date. Since then, Poland has participated 25 times, qualifying for the Grand Final 16 times.
Poland’s recent Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Blanka, who competed with “Solo”. Performing during the second semi-final, Poland qualified for the final. At the close of voting at the Grand Final, she managed to place 19th with 93 points. Of these, 12 came from the jury, whilst 81 came from the televote.
