After their participation in Eurovision 2024, TVP is looking ahead, as it confirms that Poland will be participating at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Madrid.
Szansa na Sukces to select their representative for Madrid
The broadcaster has opted to once again use its selection ‘Szansa na Sukces’ to select the next Polish representative for Madrd.
Casting for the next edition of the competition will take place in May 26 in Warsaw at TVP between 09:00-15:00, with the participants set to be selected in the auditions. The next edition of the selection is set to take place in September.
Poland’s Junior Eurovision Journey
In 2003, Poland was one of the countries that participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, where they were represented by Katarzyna Żurawik with the song “Coś mnie nosi” which placed 16th. Poland participated for another year, before going on a 12-year break and returning in 2016. Since returning to the competition, they have participated five times, and managing to achieve a back-to-back win in 2018 and 2019.
Their recent participation in 2023, saw them being represented by Maja Krzyżewska, with the song “I Just Need a Friend” which placed 6th overall, receiving 124 points from the jury and online vote combined.
