After teasing for months, Käärijä and Joost have released their collaboration “TRAFIK”. Käärijä represented Finland at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool, while Joost represented The Netherlands at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö. The song was written by Aleski Nurmi, Jere Pöyhönen, Johannes Naukkarinen, Joost Klein and Teun de Kruif.

Käärijä’s Eurovision Journey
Finnish singer and rapper Käärijä represented Finland in 2023 after winning the Finnish National Final, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, with his song “Cha Cha Cha”. At Eurovision, he qualified for the final, winning the first semi-final with 177 points from the televote. During the final he scored 150 with the juries but came first in the televote with 376 points, coming in second overall.
Joost’s Eurovision Journey
Following a social media campaign after he expressed his active interest, Dutch broadcaster AVTROTROS confirmed Joost as The Netherlands’ representative for Eurovision 2024 in December 2023. His song, Europapa, which is dedicated to his late father, was released on February 29 with a premiere on a special editon of De Avondshow.
While Joost was ultimately disqualified at Eurovision in Malmö, he would have made it to the final, placing second in his semifinal with 182 points.
