Upon the release of the list of participating countries in Madrid, San Marinese broadcaster SMRTV is included in the list and will participate in Junior Eurovision 2024.
Fourth appearance in the competition
After initially ruling out participating in Madrid, SMRTV revealed that they will return to Junior Eurovision. This will be their first appearance at Junior Eurovision since 2016 and fourth overall. At the time of writing, no information has been revealed about how SMRTV will select its representative or song.
San Marino’s Junior Eurovision History
San Marino made its debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 with Michele Perniola and his entry “O-o-O Sole intorno a me” which placed 10th. San Marino participated two more times, with their recent attempt in 2016 with Kamilla Ismailova and her song “Mirror” which placed 14th and received 36 points overall.
