Tonight, another country has selected their representative for Junior Eurovision 2024, as Malta held their selection ‘Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest’, where it was revealed that Ramires Sciberras has won the right to represent Malta in Madrid with their entry “Stilla Ċkejkna”

The results was decided using a combination of a jury vote (80%) and the televote (20%).
Tonight’s show was hosted by Melanie Kelly, with Yulan Law (Malta’s Junior Eurovision 2023 representative), Chanel Monseigneur (Malta’s Junior Eurovision 2020 representative), Gaia Gambuzza (Malta’s Junior Eurovision 2022 representative) performing as guest acts.
Malta’s Junior Eurovision Journey
In 2003, Malta was one of the countries to participate in the inaugural edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Sarah Harrison performed the song “Like A Star” and placed 7th. The Mediterranean nation participated until 2010, where it took a break and returned in 2013 with Gaia Cauchi and “The Start”, which was their first win in the competition. Malta achieved their second win in 2015, where Destiny Chukunyere won with her song “Not My Soul”. Destiny went on to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 with “Je Me Casse”, where she placed seventh.
Malta’s most recent participation was in 2023. Yulan represented her country with the song “Stronger”. In Nice she scored a total of 94 points, finishing 10th.
