Ahead of Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2024 selection tomorrow, Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne has revealed the running order for tomorrow’s show as well as other information.

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2024 representative will be selected via a mixture of Jury (50%) and Public Vote (50%). The jury will consist of ROXOLANA (Vidbir 2022 participant), Andriy Hutsulyak (Ukraine’s Eurovision 2023 representative with TVORCHI) & Vitaly Drozdov (Producer).

The Ukranian public will be able to vote online, with two rounds taking place. The first round opened at 10:00EET on September 20, and will close on September 22 at 10:EET. The second round of the voting will open once again after the participants have voted.

As for the guest acts, Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2023 representative Anastasia Dymyd will be performing her entry “Kvitka” as the opening with the Honored Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Ukrainian Radio. The selection’s music producer Svitlana Tarabarova will perform a number with the participants, and Anna Trincher will sing her song “Очі” (Eyes).

Ukraine’s selection of their Junior Eurovision 2024 representative will take place on September 22. You can watch the selection on UA:PBC, Suspilne Kultura’s website, as well as the official Eurovision Ukraine Facebook and YouTube channels. The show will be hosted by Timur Miroshnychenko, Anna Tulyeva, and Anna Trincher (Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2015 representative).

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision journey

In 2006, Ukraine made their debut to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Nazar Slyusarchuk and the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” (Хлопчик рок ‘н’ ролл), which placed 9th. Since their debut, the Eastern European nation has participated 17 times, and even won once in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and her song “Nebo” (Небо).

In 2023, Ukraine selected its representative through a national final, where Anastasia Dymyd won the right to represent the nation with “Kvitka”, which managed to place 5th receiving 128 points from the jury and online vote.
