Preparations are now in full swing in the United Kingdom as the Eurovision Song Contest draws ever closer. Now, Remember Monday has revealed the creative team behind their performance for Basel.
Well-known name behind creative team
Remember Monday’s creative team was revealed at a press event attended by That Eurovision Site. There, it was revealed that Ace Bowerman will be in charge of the band’s Eurovision performance. Bowerman will serve as the creative director of the performance, which includes staging and choreography.
Bowerman already has dipped their toe into the world of Eurovision this year. They have already been confirmed to be working with Mamagama from Azerbaijan on the staging for the song. As well as this, Bowerman worked with the likes of Rina Sawayama, Dua Lipa and Blackpink.
United Kingdom’s Eurovision journey
The UK is one of the most successful countries in the Eurovision Song Contest. Debuting at the second edition of the Contest in 1957, the United Kingdom won the competition on five occasions. The most recent win for the UK was in 1997 with Katrina and the Waves, singing “Love Shine A Light”. The UK also holds the record for second-place finishes – currently at 16.
In 2024, Olly Alexander represented the UK in Malmö with his song “Dizzy”. At the close of voting, the UK finished 18th in a field of 25, earning 46 points. All these points came from the jury.
