Belgium’s RTBF confirmed their participation in the 2026 edition of Eurovision Young Musicians; in so doing, they also confirmed that the contest would take place on 6th June, 2026.
Belgium confirms 2026 Eurovision Young Musicians participation
Belgium is the second country to confirm participation for next year’s event, following host country Armenia. The contest will be hosted in Yerevan following Armenia’s debut at the 2024 edition.
Belgium was represented in 2024 by Mahault Ska, a pianist. Like in 2024, a professional jury will select Belgium’s entrant. The contest celebrates classical musicians from across Europe and is held every other year.
About Eurovision Young Musicians
Eurovision Young Musicians is part of a number of international music and arts events organized by the European Broadcasting Union. First held in 1982, the contest takes place every other year. 2026 will mark the 22nd edition.
The 2024 contest was held in Bodø, in northern Norway, and was won by violinist Leonhard Baumgartner, a violinist from Austria. Contestants can be from 12 to 21 years of age; at the time of his win, Baumgartner was 11.
