🇦🇲 Armenia to host Eurovision Young Musicians 2026

Not long after the conclusion of the latest edition of Eurovision Young Musicians, which took place in Bodø, Norway, the EBU has revealed that Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV)  will be host broadcaster of Eurovision Young Musicians 2026, with the competition set to take place in Armenia.

Hosting duties after returning to the competition

The broadcaster undetaking hosting duties comes after AMPTV returned to the competition after skipping four editions (2014, 2016, 2018, 2022) of the competition. This will not be the first ‘Eurovision’ event that Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV) has hosted. The broadcaster has hosted Junior Eurovision in two occassions (2011 & 2012).

Speaking about having hosting duties for Eurovision Young Musicians 2026, AMPTV Director-General Hovhannes Movsisyan comments:

“It is a great honour for us to host Eurovision Young Musicians in Armenia. Alongside the EBU, we are committed to making Armenia the heart of classical music in 2026. We are excited to welcome the most gifted young musicians to our country.”

Meanwhile the EBU’s Director of Media and Deputy Director-General Jean Philip De Tender comments:

Eurovision Young Musicians is an incredible showcase of talent, creativity and diversity that unites people through music, we’re pleased to have Armenia hosting in 2026 and look forward to working together on an amazing event.

Further details about Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV)’s hosting of Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 will be revealed in due course.
