🇨🇭 Céline Dion was scheduled to perform at Eurovision 2025

French outlet Le Parisien has confirmed that Céline Dion was set to perform on the Eurovision 2025 stage in Basel, singing “Ne partez pas sans moi”, the song that brought her victory in 1988.

A comeback cut short by health

Despite her plans to perform, Céline Dion suffered a seizure upon arrival at the venue, forcing her to cancel. According to coverage by Le Parisien, she immediately returned to Las Vegas, foregoing what would have been a return to the Eurovision spotlight.

Her health condition, Stiff Person Syndrome, which she revealed publicly in 2022, has significantly impacted her ability to perform. Despite this setback, she delivered a heartfelt pre-recorded message during the first semi-final, expressing regret and reflecting on the contest’s emotional importance.
