🇳🇱 Junior Songfestival professional jury revealed

The professional jurors for The Netherlands’ Junior Eurovision selection, Junior Songfestival have been revealed as singers Hannah Mae, SERA and Billy Dans.

Who are the Jurors?

Sera de Bruin, better known as SERA first rose to fame thanks to videos posted to Instagram and TikTok, where she would sing cover songs in her car. She quickly became noticed by big names such as Justin Bieber and Tones and I. She would go on to release her debut single “Only Us” in 2021, and released her debut album “The Journey” in September 2024.

Hannah Mae is one of the brightest stars of the new generation of Dutch-language singer-songwriters. She debuted in 2019 with the song “Back To You“, and would soon after be signed to Ilse DeLange’s label Spark Records, before switching to Dutch in 2022 with “De Kerkstraat“. She has since had three top 10 hits in the Netherlands, as well as a #1 single in Flanders, and has toured with the likes of Suzan & Freek in addition to headline tours of her own. Her debut album, “Rode Draad” was released back in February.

This isn’t the first time Hannah Mae and SERA have shared the spotlight, the two were both featured on 2024’s edition of Beste Zangers alongside Claude.

Billy Dans is known both for his solo work, with singles such as “Beach Vibe” and “Ontspanje“, as well as a songwriter for the likes of Mart Hoogkamer, Snelle, and André Hazes Jr. His first album, “Jongen Uit De Stad” released in March 2024.

About Junior Songfestival 2025

On 20th September, Junior Songfestival will see four groups compete to take the crown of representing the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision this December.

The Netherlands’ Junior Eurovision journey

The Netherlands has participated in every edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since its inception, first taking part in 2003. The country’s first entry came in the form of Roel, singing “Mijn ogen zeggen alles”. At the close of voting, the Netherlands finished in 11th place, earning 23 points. Since then, the Netherlands have taken part another 19 times, earning one victory in 2009 with Ralf Mackenbach singing “Click-Clack”.

In 2024, the quartet Stay Tuned represented the Netherlands in Madrid. Their song “Music” received 34 points from the jury and 57 from the televote, placing tenth overall.
