“She’s a raw diamond. She completely won me over.” explains Alexandra Redde-Amiel, France’s Head of Delegation for Eurovision, who praises Lou for her “strong personality” and “remarkable maturity.”
Already active in the artistic world since the age of 7, Lou has built an impressive résumé beyond music. She has acted in short and feature films, as well as TV series, with credits including Le parfum vert and Le dossier Maldoror.
France’s Junior Eurovision Journey
France took part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004. Represented by Thomas Pontier singing “Si on voulait bien”, France finished in 6th place, earning 78 points. However, the country withdrew from the Contest, citing a ‘Eurovision overkill’. France would not rejoin the Contest until 2018. Since then, France has become a Junior Eurovision powerhouse, finishing in the top 5 in each of their four subsequent participations. France won the 2020 edition of the Contest, with Valentina singing “J’imagine”. In 2022, France won for a second time with Lissandro’s song “Oh Maman”, and subsequently won again in 2023, with Zoe Clauzure and the song “Cœur”, making them only the second country to win Junior Eurovision three times.
For 2024, Titouan represented France with the song “Comme ci comme ça”. He received 177 points – 103 from the jury and 74 from the online vote – continuing France’s JESC hot streak and achieving a respectable fourth place.
