How FiK 64 will unfold

This year’s edition keeps the now familiar four-night structure:

  • Night 1 and Night 2: The 28 competing songs are performed for the first time.
  • Night 3 – Nata e Nostalgjisë (Nostalgia Night): A tribute night dedicated to the historic songwriters and poets of Festivali i Këngës.
  • Night 4 – Grand Final (20 December): The finalists perform their competing entries and the winner is crowned.

RTSH has not yet confirmed how many artists will advance to the Grand Final or how eliminations will work. However, based on recent editions, it is expected that some eliminations will take place after Nights 1 and 2, meaning not all 28 artists will perform in the final. The exact number of finalists is usually revealed shortly before the last night.

The winner of FiK will earn the ticket to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

Albania’s Eurovision journey

In 2004, Albania made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest with Anjeza Shahini with “Image of You”, which placed 7th in the final. Since their debut, Albania has participated 20 times, and made the final 10 times. They achieved their best result in 2012, where Rona Nishliu placed 5th with “Suus”.

Shkodra Elektronike represented Albania in the 2025 Contest in Basel with “Zjerm”. The duo made it to the Grand Final, where they ultimately finished in 8th place with 218 points. 173 of these came from the televote, while the remaining 45 points came from the jury.
