About ETTA
Emmalotta Kanth, professionally known as ETTA, is a singer/rapper, and grew up in Vantaa, where her childhood was full of music. She released her debut single “Ballerina” in 2018, and since then, she has toured numerously, with her debut album being released in “Tyttö”.
Commenting on ETTA’s selection for UMK26, the UMK jury comments:
Etta is one of Finland’s most listened-to pop stars, who masters both rapping and beautifully-sounding choruses. This song offers both, as well as a really slow-sounding chorus with a good dose of Eurovision-esqueness. The slow-paced, but very danceable rhythm brings to mind the biggest pop songs of the 90s produced by the Swedes. You can easily imagine the song being played a lot this year, both on the radio and at summer festivals.
