Antigoni will sing 'Jalla' in Vienna
Antigoni will sing 'Jalla' in Vienna

The long wait for Antigoni’s song after she was first announced as Cyprus’ entrant in Vienna is over, as ‘Jalla’ has now been released.

International debut for ‘Jalla’

The song will be presented live for the first time on 13th February during the first semi Final of Greece’s Sing for Greece; the country’s national final for Vienna.

Who is Antigoni?

Antigoni grew up in London but has preserved her deep Greek-Cypriot heritage and speaks Greek fluently. She first gained widespread recognition after appearing on the British reality show Love Island UK. Most recently, on October 27, she performed as the opening act for Eleni Foureira’s concert in London.

This isn’t Antigoni’s first Eurovision-related venture. She submitted songs for Greece’s selection in 2023 and 2025, and had publicly expressed her desire to represent Cyprus earlier in the year.

Cyprus’ Eurovision Journey

The Mediterranean nation made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981, where Island participated with the song “Monika” and place 6th. Since then, Cyprus has participated 40 times (33 of which where they qualified for the Grand Final).

For 2025, CyBC internally selected Theo Evan to represent them in Basel with the song “Shh”. Competing in the first semi-final, Cyprus failed to qualify for the final, finishing in 11th place with 44 points. This was the first time since 2022 that Cyprus had not been in a Eurovision final.
