🇳🇴 Eurovision 2026 Rehearsal One: Norway brings rock energy with JONAS LOVV’s “YA YA YA”

JONAS LOVV representing Norway at Vienna 2026

Today, the rehearsals for Eurovision 2026 continue in Vienna. Countries rehearsing on Day 4 include Cyprus, Latvia, Denmark, Australia, Ukraine, Albania, Malta and Norway. The last semi-final participant to undertake their first rehearsal is Norway’s JONAS LOVV.

What did we learn about JONAS LOVV’s staging?

For those who watched Melodi Grand Prix, the core of the performance remains familiar. The staging keeps its signature elements, particularly the use of lighting.

As the performance reaches its final section, everything intensifies. Pyrotechnics come into play, and JONAS fully leans into the moment, using strong poses and direct engagement with the camera to close the performance with impact.

Photos from the first rehearsal should be up about 24 hours after it finishes. We’ll update this article when they’re out.

Who is JONAS LOVV?

Jonas Lovv Hellesøy is a 31-year-old singer-songwriter born in the Norwegian city of Bergen. He first shot to fame when he appeared on the Norwegian version of Idol, but was eliminated at the audition stage. After that, he developed his voice, fronting several bands before going solo and releasing his own music since 2020. In 2025, he gained recognition again after starring in Norway’s version of The Voice, reaching the semi-final stage.
