🇪🇸 Rakky Ripper – “electrolove”
Rakky Ripper’s Spanish hyperpop anthem “Tracciòn” was undoubtedly the fan-favourite non-qualifying song of Benidorm Fest 2023. The singer and producer has released a string of Spanish dance hits since 2023, but “electrolove” is one of Rakky’s first predominantly English tracks. It’s an energetic, fast-tempo, electro-dance record with lyrics in both Spanish and English throughout the track. If you like your music loud and fast, this is one for you!
🇫🇷 Silvàn Areg – “Destress”
In recent years, France have stepped away from a national final to choose their Eurovision participant. But back in 2019, Silvàn Areg competed, and eventually placed 5th in the Destination Eurovision selection show with his catchy French pop sound, “Allez Lear Dire”. The latest release from the singer-songwriter sees him team up with Casus Belli for a mix of intimate French piano pop, with contemporary Francophone rap. The end result is an intriguing sound, that could only come out of France.
🇨🇿 Maella – “Nostalgic Baby”
“Nostalgic Baby” is the debut album from Czech singer Maella. The singer took part in 2023’s edition of the ESCZ national final with the song “Flood”. Maella’s “Nostalgic Baby” album is dark, romantic pop with an edge. Songs like “clouds” take a deep and dark electro beat and layer the singer’s airier vocals to create an interesting sound. There’s aspects of Billie Eilish and Baby Queen in this.
🇷🇸 Filip Baloš – “PRITISAK”
Serbia’s Filip Baloš has become somewhat of a fan-favourite in the PZE national final, most recently competing in 2024 with the song “Duga Je Noć”, which failed to make it through to the final, and with “Novi Plan Drugi San” which would ultimately come 4th in the 2023 edition. “PRITISAK” is the first release of 2026 from the singer, and sees Filip write, sing, produce and mix the track himself. It’s a dark, pop-dance record that the Serbian musician has come to be known for. If you liked his PZE entries, you’ll like this.
🇬🇷 Melisses – “Gyrismos (Kofa & Ariel Estrella Remix)
Despite just missing out on the win at the Greek national final for Eurovision in 2010, the band Melisses found huge success in Greece and Cyprus with their national selection entry “Kinezos”. The group have had a string of hits across the last 3 decades, and continue to release new music. The latest remix from the group sees lead singer Christos Mastoras collaborate with Kofa and Ariel Estrella on dance hit “Gyrismos”.
🇺🇦 MAX BARSKIH – “Стерти чат”
MAX BARSKIH competed in the 2012 edition of Ukraine’s national final for Eurovision, eventually placed second with his song “Dance”. He returned as a songwriter in the 2017 edition, collaborating with TAYANNA on “I Love You”, which again placed second at the national final. MAX is back with new single “Стерти чат”, a funky, jazzy pop song with a high energy chorus and soulful bass throughout.
🇪🇸 MARLENA – “ALELUYA”
Marlena competed in Benidorm Fest 2024 with the pop song “Amor de verano”, finishing sixth in the second semi-final and missing out on the grand final. For their latest release, the Spanish duo team up with singer and rapper Ters on “ALELUYA”. This is a track that would be at home on any Spanish teen movie soundtrack, with a clear Mediterranean feel.
🇬🇷 Aggeliki Iliadi – “Prive”
Greek folk-pop singer Aggeliki Iliadi has had a long and successful career in music in both Greece and Cyprus. The singer took part in the Greek national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song “Hilies Kai Mia Nihtes”, losing out to Koza Mostra and the song “Alcohol Is Free”. The most recent release from the songstress sees her team up with Teo Tzimas and Paris Kalpos on Greek folk-dance song “Prive”.
🇺🇦 DEMCHUK – “Like Dior”
DEMCHUK competed in Vidbir 2023 with his emotional pop song “Alive”, eventually placing 5th in the national final. “Like Dior” is the singer’s first new song so far in 2026, and sees him deliver a beautiful love song over an uptempo backing track. The son is fresh, joyful and energetic. It’s a great sound for the Ukrainian singer following his viral hits “Sins” and “Sorry”.

🇺🇦 Анастасія Димид – “Дружба (ft. Анастасія Савчин)”
Анастасія Димид’s “Kvitka” placed 5th in the 2023 Junior Eurovision in France, stealing the hearts of fans across the world when the young singer performed flawlessly. Her latest release sees Анастасія collaborate with Анастасія Савчин on a slightly more mature sound, “Дружба”. The song is a beautiful, rock -ballad sound from the young pair, and there is sure to be success in future for both of them.
🇮🇹 Leonardo Giovannangeli – “DOVE MI PORTI STASERA”
It has been little over 6 months since Leonardo Giovannangeli took to the Tbilsi stage to perform “Rockstars” at Junior Eurovision 2025. The young Italian singer has released a number of new songs since then, the latest being “DOVE MI PORTI STASERA”. It is a great piece of Italian electro-pop with a futuristic, gaming theme to it. Leonardo is one to watch for a future Sanremo appearance!

🇬🇧 Sophie Ellis-Bextor – “Dancing Without You (Quartered Remix)”
In the 2025 Grand Final of the Contest in Basel, British pop legend Sophie Ellis-Bextor stepped in at the last minute to deliver the jury points from the UK, giving the jury 12 points to Latvia’s Tautumeitas. Sophie has had s long career in music, with chart topping hits such as “Murder On The Dancefloor” and “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love” amassing over a billion streams on Spotify globally. The British singer is back on a new song with disco legend Nile Rogers, as well as Disco Bambino. Quarthead provides the remix of “Dancing Without You”. It’s a great disco song.
EiGA (Piera Eira) – “Goroso”
Before he joined Johan Ivvár Gaup to form the duo EiGA, Piera Eira won the 2025 edition of the Sámi Grand Prix, an annual Sámi song and yoik (traditional vocal) music competition held in Kautokeino, Norway, with MÁIJÁ and their song “Dálkkiid čada”. The Sámi singer also performed at this year’s Melfest WKND 2026, sharing the talents and culture of the indigenous Sámi people. The latest release from the duo is “Goroso”, a traditional sámi hit.
🇧🇬 Azis – “Lepotan”
Before DARA’s Eurovision 2026 win at the Contest in Vienna, Azis was the most streamed Bulgarian artist of all time. He now takes 2nd place on that list, following the global success of “Bangaranga”. But before there was DARA, there was Azis. Although the singer has never been the representative of Bulgaria in the Contest, he did provide backing vocals for Mariana Popova’s “Let Me Cry” at the Contest in Athens, in 2006. As well as this, the legendary performer consistently tops fan’s speculations and wish lists for future Bulgarian representatives, and even has the backing of past Bulgarian Eurovision performer Kristian Kostov as a future ESC performer. The latest release from the Bulgarian mega star is a cover of the song “Lepotan”, recorded live for the CECA TV show.
🇸🇪 Robyn & Zara Larsson – “Talk To Me, Zara”
2 of Sweden’s biggest names in pop have a new collaboration. Zara Larsson and Robyn have teamed up on new remix, “Talk To Me, Zara”. Okay, I’ll admit, even for a tenuous links section, this is a reach. But it’s appearing on the list for two reasons. Robyn appeared as a songwriter in Melodifestivalen way back in 1997, with the song “Du gör mig hel igen” performed by Swedish singer and actress Cajsalisa Ejemyr. The song eventually finished 4th in the national selection, with Robyn going on to have international success in her own right as a performer in the years following. Zara Larsson has long been a fan of Melodifestivalen, and although the singer has said in many interview she would never want to compete, she has appeared in the show. In the 2017 Mello Final, Zara took to the Friends Arena stage as an interval act, performing a medley of hits.
“Talk To Me, Zara” sees the pair recreate a song from Robyn’s most recent album “Sexistential” as a collaboration, following Robyn’s appearance on the remix of Zara’s “Puss Puss” back in May. It’s sexy, pop-y and fun.
