🇸🇪 Erika Jonsson – “Hillbillyn i mig”
Erika Jonsson’s 2026 Melodifesitvalen entry “Från Landet” may not have made it through to the final this year, but the Swedish country song was incredibly infectious and enjoyable. “Hillbillyn i mig” is the first release from Erika since her Mello appearance earlier this year, and is in a similar vein to “Från Landet”. It’s country inspired pop with a big singalong chorus. Hard to not enjoy!
🇺🇦 Valeriya Force – “Glory”
Valeriya Force delivered a big, anthemic vocal in her Vidbir 2026 appearance with the song “Open Our Hearts”. The mix of ballad and dance track made it instantly a stand out moment in this year’s Ukrainian national final. Since her attempt to represent her country and Eurovision earlier this year, Valeriya has been busy with new music, latest of which is eurodance track “Glory”. The singer takes an intergalactic, out of this world aura and puts it on top of a banging dance beat. This is one that would go down well in any club, late at night.
🇭🇷 Ananda – “NIJEDNA”
Ananda has appeared in the last 2 editions of Croatia’s DORA national final. In 2025, with the song “Lies Lay Cold”, the singer just missed out on a spot in the final. This year, Ananda’s entry “Dora” placed 15th in the final of the Croatian selection contest. The young singer has been busy with new music since then, and her fourth release of 2026, “NIJEDNA” is a big, Croatian dance sound. This is a vibe!
🇩🇪 Malou Lovis – “chasing love and missing people”
Germany’s Malou Lovis missed out on a spot in the superfinal of the Das Deutsches Finale in 2026 with her song “When I’m With You”. The queer singer-songwriter has continued to release new singles since then, with “i’m not here for you” earlier in the year now being joined by “chasing love and missing people”. Both songs are beautiful, with Malou delivering a perfect, etherial vocal on both tracks.
🇷🇴🇸🇲 Edward Maya – “Leelaya”
Edward Maya will most likely be known as the DJ and producer of huge eurodance anthem “Stereo Love”, back in the early 2010s. But this year, the musician entered both Selcția Naționalǎ in Romania with the song “Everybody Needs Somebody”, and San Marino Song Contest with the song “Balla”. The artists may also be known to fans as one of the creators of Romania’s 2006 Eurovision entry “Tornerò”, performed by Mihai Trăistariu. For his most recent single, the producer, songwriter and DJ has teamed up with fellow Romanian DJ N-Tone for “Leelaya”. It has an arabic flair to an otherwise big eurodance sound. Interesting mix this.
🇬🇷 Marseaux – “Kapou Allou”
Greece’s national final was packed full of talent this year, with Marseaux’s “Hanomai” eventually finishing third in the selection. The latest new music from the singer sees her team up with pop-rock performers Solmeister and _sunset for “Kapou Allou”. It’s an angsty, Greek pop-rock track that would fit in on a Tony Hawk soundtrack or Kerrang magazine playlits. It’s certainly a fun one!
🇮🇹 Dargen D’Amico – “ROOFTOP”
Dargen D’Amico has appeared at multiple editions of Italy’s Festivali di Sanremo, most recently in 2026 with the song “Ai Ai”. The newest release from the Italian sees him team up with Italian soul music legend Al Castellana on “ROOFTOP”. It’s a great sounding, mixing soulful Italian vocals with modern rap to give a contemporary, yet classic feel.
🇱🇹 Agnė Buškevičiūtė – “Unbound”
The latest release from Lithuania’s Agnė Buškevičiūtė is EP “Unbound”, featuring the singer’s 2026 Eurovizija.LT entry of the same name. The 5-track EP is an epic, cinematic, pop-rock piece of work, with elements of emo inspiration and comparisons such as Evanescence or early Paramore. It is a hauntingly beautiful collection of music from the Lithuanian singer, and I truly hope we see her at another national final in the near future.

🇦🇱 Elvana Gjata – “PO DU” & “Si Sheqer (DEKADA Live At Unipol Forum Milan)”
Two new releases from Albania’s premier pop diva this week. Firstly, a collaboration with Rilind Alimani, “PO DU”, sees Elvana give a classic summery, beach-dance sound. It’s Mediterranean. It’s Balkan. It has everything you want from an Elvana Gjata release. The second piece of new music from the singer is a live recording of the song “Si Sheqer”, recorded in front of an audience at Unipol Forum in Milan. It is a carnival, Balkan party vibe.
