Previous national final artists
🇸🇪 SaRaha – “Dasalama”
Swedish-Tanzanian singer-songwriter SaRaha entered Melodifestivalen back in 2016, advancing through the Andra Chasen round to reach the final and place 9th with her afro-pop track “Kizunguzungu”. For her most recent release, SaRaha collaborates with Tanzanian R&B singer Ben Pol on afro-dance track “Dasalama”. The 2 minute 20 seconds track is a brilliant piece of Summer afro-dance, giving Tanzanian flair and European production.
🇦🇺 Ella Hooper – “When The Shit Went Down”
Ella Hooper made a surprise appearance on this list earlier, on the new Bachelor Girl record, alongside an array of big Australian stars. But the country singer-songwriter has her own release this week too! Ella competed in 2019’s Australia Decides national final for Eurovision, placing 10th with “Data Dust”. The latest release from the Aussie singer is “When The Shit Went Down”, an Australian country-pop track. The song was written and co-produced by Ella herself, and shows off her vocal abilities in a beautiful way.
🇳🇴 Atle Pettersen – “Den eneste”
Atle Pettersen will most likely be remembered by eurofans for his appearance in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2023, with “Masterpiece”. The singer made a return to music after a short break back in July, with the release of “Noe ekte” (Something real), an electro-indie-rock track, bearing similarities in sound to bands such as The 1975 or Foals. Atle followed that up last month with “1998”, which again delivered Norwegian indie-rock sound with an electronic-disco influence. The next single from the Norwegian indie-pop artist, “Den eneste” (The Only One) once again delves into the indie-electronica sound that seems to be influencing Atle’s recent music. This new era of Atle Pettersen is really intriguing, and the singer needs to reappear at MGP ASAP in my opinion.
🇸🇪 Molly Sandén – “Tänk om”
Swedish singer-songwriter Molly Sandén has had a career-long connection to the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2006, she delivered Sweden’s best ever result in the Junior Contest with “Det finaste någon kan få”, which placed third. The artist has appeared 3 times in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen, placing 11th in the final in 2009 with “Så vill stjärnorna”, 6th in the final in 2016 with “Youniverse”, and 5th in the final in 2012 with “Why Am I Crying?”. Sandén was also the singing voice of Rachel McAdams character Sigrit Ericksdóttir in the Netflix film Eurovision: The Story Of Fire Saga. The film’s soundtrack album, on which Sandén is heavily featured, was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. The song “Husavik (My Hometown)” was nominated for Best Original Song at the 93rd Academy Awards. Molly’s latest musical release is as a featured artist on the track “Tänk om” (What If). The song is a collaboration with Victor Leksell, who is a huge star in the Swedish music scene. Fans not familiar with his work, may recognise him from the “Björnzone” interval act, during the final of Melodifestivalen 2024. Together, they complement each other well and this is somewhat of an ear-worm pop song.
🇨🇭 Vincent Gross – “Ich frage für nen Freund”
Switzerlands Die Entscheidungsshow 2016 national final saw Vincent Gross place 3rd with his song “Half A Smile”. The singer’s latest release is “Ich frage für nen Freund” (I’m asking for a friend). Vincent Gross teams up with singer-songwriter Tim Peters on this track, who has his own Eurovision connections. Peters co-wrote and produced “Naiv” for Germany’s Marie Reim, which placed sixth in the Das Deutsche Finale national final in 2024. “Ich frage für nen Freund” sounds to me like Cascada (who’s “Everytime We Touch” HEAVILY inspired this record) and Basshunter had a Swiss après ski B2B DJ set, with live karaoke from Vincent and Peter. And somehow I still don’t absolutely hate it.
🇨🇿 Pam Rabbit – “Kletby”
Pam Rabbit is a three time Czech national final artists, placing 2nd on her most recent attempt with the song “Ghosting” in the 2023 edition of ESCZ. The latest music from Pam comes in the form of “Kletby”. The song is the soundtrack to Czech-Slovak mixed martial arts drama film directed by Vojtěch Frič and Tomáš Dianiška, Bojovník, due to be released next week. It’s a dark, mysterious pop-rap record, featuring Separ.
🇵🇱 Marcin Maciejczak – “Jak się masz?”
Marcin Maciejczak has competed in both the adult, and junior selections for Eurovision in Poland. The singer placed joint third in the 2024 selection with his track “Midnight Dreamer”. The young Polish performer has also appeared in The Voice Kids in the country. Latest single from Marcin, “Jak się masz?” (How Are You?), is an exciting blend of dance and electro-pop, with Marcin delivering a sultry vocal in the Polish language. This is cool, and easy to enjoy.
🇸🇪 Jay Smith – “Fast Lane”
Swedish country singer Jay Smith competed in Melodifestivalen 2024, with his dark country-pop song “Back to My Roots”. In the national selection show, reached the grand final and finished in 10th place overall, with 46 points. Jay has continued to make gritty country-pop and country-rock records in recent years, and latest single “Fast Lane” is no different. The song was written by Smith himself, as well as Martin Ankelius and Johan Langerlöf.
Junior Eurovision artists
🇺🇦 Sofia Nersesian – “Будь собою”
At last year’s Junior Eurovision, Sofia Nersesian placed 2nd behind only Junior Eurovision powerhouses France at the Contest in Tbilisi. The young Ukrainian singer has continued to make new music in recent months, and sees to excel in the dark, electronic pop anthem genre. “Будь собою” is no different. The song is a big sound from such a young performer. Sofia is one to watch for future if her Junior track record is anything to go by!
🇺🇦 Анастасія Димид – “La-la-la Пісня щастя”
Two years before Sofia Nersesian took to the Junior Eurovision stage for Ukraine, Анастасія Димид performed “Kvitka” and came 5th in the Contest in France. The young star from Ukraine has release multiple songs recently, latest of which being uptempo electro pop song “La-la-la Пісня щастя”. This is incredibly fun and as sweet as her Junior performance.

🇮🇹 Laura Pausini – “QUANDO CHOVE (con Sandy)”
Laura Pausini is perhaps most famous in Eurovision circles as one of the hosts of the Contest in Turin in 2022, but the singer has actually had multiple appearances at the Festival di Sanremo in Italy. Most recently, she appeared as one of the hosts of the 2026 edition of the national song festival. Pausini teams up with Sandy for “QUANDO CHOVE”, a sultry pop ballad.
🇺🇸 GRANT KNOCHE – “TALK (Adamusic Remix)”
One of the fan favourites to come out of the short-lived American Song Contest, GRANT KNOCHE has new music. The Texas born singer placed 4th in the American edition of the Song Contest with his song “Mr. Independant”. This week, Adamusic jumps on a remix of KNOCHE’s 2025 release “TALK”, turning it from a sexy, uptempo dance-pop record into a more mysterious club-dance banger.
