The wait is over for fans wanting to hear what Thinla could bring to Eurovision Asia. The three songs competing to become Laos’ entry have now been released ahead of Sieng Lao: The One.
Meet the songs competing for Laos
Thinla will take three songs to the Laotian national final: ‘Bae’, ‘Star’ and ‘Water’. She will perform all three during the first episode of Sieng Lao: The One on 23 September, with the public then deciding which one will become Laos’ entry for Eurovision Asia 2026.
The songs are now available to listen to ahead of the show, giving fans a chance to get familiar with the three options before voting opens.
The public will choose the winning song
The first episode of Sieng Lao: The One will air on Wednesday 23 September at 14:30 GMT, corresponding to 20:30 in Laos. Thinla will perform her three entries during the programme, after which the public vote will open and remain available for 24 hours.
The result will be announced the following day, Thursday 24 September, during the second episode of the selection. The programme will begin at 14:30 GMT, with the results revealing which of the three songs Thinla will take to Bangkok for Eurovision Asia.
Fans outside Laos will also be able to take part in the decision as voting will be free through the Eurovision Asia website and will be open worldwide, with each voter given eight votes to distribute across at least three songs.
Laos is preparing to make its debut at the inaugural Eurovision Asia Song Contest, which will be held in Bangkok on 14 November. Thinla was announced as the country’s representative earlier this month, and the national final will now decide which song she will perform when she takes to the Eurovision Asia stage.

What we know about Eurovision Asia 2026
Early this year, EBU and Voxovation confirmed the launch of Eurovision Asia, following its initial attempt to launch the format in 2017. The inaugual edition of the competition is set to take place on November 14th in Bangkok, Thailand.
