🇱🇹 Noy – “Bėgi Nuo Savęs”
Noy has competed in consecutive editions of Lithuania’s national final for Eurovision, most recently this year with the song “Stand Up”. Latest track from the young performer, “Bėgi Nuo Savęs”, is a great piece of alt/indie-pop. The track has a dark, mysterious feel to it while still being a contemporary indie-pop sound. Noy’s voice really shines on this track, on top of exciting synth sounds and a thumping drum beat in the choruses.
🇷🇸 Zejna – “La Luna”
Zejna has appeared in Serbia’s national final for Eurovision many times over recent years. Most recent of these appearances, and perhaps most successful, was this year’s edition of PZE with her song “Jugoslavija”, finishing in second place. Her latest single “La Luna” mixes her typical Balkan style with some Mediterranean flair, creating a truly gripping sound. Her vocals are stunning on this track, and the chorus is classic Balkan pop. This is a great release from Zejna and I can’t wait to see her appear in a future edition of PZE (I can only hope).
🇦🇱 Rigersa Loka – “Mos më thirr në emër”
Albanian singer Rigersa Loka took part in the 64th edition of the country’s Festivali i Këngës, back in December 2025. She performed the song “Albanian Heart” at the festival, placing fifth in the overall contest. Latest release from the young singer comes in the form of anthemic piano ballad “Mos më thirr në emër”. The track builds and layers more instruments and sounds as the song progresses, but it’s Rigersa’s clean, crips and beautiful vocal that shine on this record.
🇵🇱 Basia Giewont – “Opium”
Basia Giewont competed in Poland’s national selection show Polskie Kwalifikacje in 2026 with her uptempo folktronica track “Zimna Woda”, eventually placing third. Latest single “Opium” is a mix of folktronica and soul-funk, with an incredibly catchy beat. This song keeps you guessing as it progresses, and the resulting finishing track is really exciting.
🇸🇪 APOC (Smash Into Pieces) – “Invincible”
As a member of the pop-metal band Smash Into Pieces, drummer APOC has appeared in many of the recent editions of Sweden’s Melodifestivalen national final, most recently in 2026 where the band placed fourth with the song “Hollow”. The main vocals on this track come from Sannie Åkerlund Halvarsson, but otherwise this could easily have been a Smash Into Pieces Mello entry. It’s a great pop-metal track, with classic APOC drum breakdowns. It’s hard not to like APOC.
🇱🇹 Freya Alley – “I am Woman”
Freya Alley took part in this year’s Eurovizija.LT national final with her song “No Kiss Goodbye”. She would ultimately place 7th in the fourth heat of the selection show. Freya has since released a number of singles, most recent of which is ethereal electro-folk-pop song “I am Woman”. This has elements of Kate Bush or Björk about it, but in a more modern way. Look, this really isn’t my sort of music but I can absolutely appreciate the quirky nature and immense talent of Freya on this song. This would feel at home as a soundtrack to a spiritual retreat in the woods.

🇪🇪 An-Marlen & Karl-Erik Taukar – “Teineteiseta”
Karl-Erik Taukar made his debut in the Estonian national final for Eurovision back in 2015 with the song “Päev korraga”. In various editions in recent years including this year’s edition of Eesti Laul, he has acted as a host of the contest. An-Marlen made her debut in Eesti Laul in 2025, with the big alt-electro song “Külm”, placing third. The duo have this week teamed up to release “Teineteiseta”. The song is a great example of the Estonian indie music scene, and both artists sound amazing on this track.
🇺🇦 BRYKULETS – “НІ ЗА ШО”
Ukrainian indie-pop artist BRYKULETS entered the 2025 edition of the country’s Vidbir national selection with his song “Кришталi”. Being announced as one of the wildcard acts, the artists ultimately missed out on a spot in the live televised national final in the 2025 season. Latest single “НІ ЗА ШО” is an indie sing-a-long pop track with a great chorus and catchy instrumental.
🇫🇮 Nelli Matula – “Popstara (Vain elämää)”
Nelli Matula appeared in Finland’s UMK national final back in 2025, with her big electro-pop track “Hitaammin hautaan”. The musician has gone on to have a hugely successful career in Finland, with millions of streams across many of her recent releases. Nelli is currently taking part in Finland’s Vain elämää TV show, and this week takes on the music of Milijoonasade in the form of “Popstara”.
Vain elämää (meaning “It’s only life” in Finnish) is a popular Finnish reality music television series, where a group of well-known Finnish musicians live and record music together. Each show features the music of a specific member of the group, with the original artist listening and reacting to the new interpretations of their song. The final episode usually features duets or group performances. The show is an adaptation of the Dutch format De beste zangers van Nederland. The title of the show comes from the classic 1973 song “Vain elämää” by legendary Finnish singer Irwin Goodman. The show premiered in 2012, and has become one of Finland’s most successful and long-running reality television programs, spanning numerous seasons and featuring dozens of Finland’s top recording artists. This week, the musical theme came from the hits of Finnish band Milijoonasade.
🇧🇪 Mentissa – “Ça ira”
Mantissa placed third in Belgium’s Eurosong national final back in 2025 with the uptempo French electro-pop song “Désolée”. This week she features on the new Grand Corps Malade ballad “Ça ira”, showing just how well she can excel in big, anthemic ballads as well as catchy dance-pop tracks.
🇸🇲🇺🇦 TESLENKO – “Так стається”
Ukrainian pop-rock singer TESLENKO is somewhat infamous in Eurofan circles. The singer withdrew from 2025 edition of Ukraine’s Vidbir, before appearing on the longlist for San Marino’s national final the same year with his song “Storm”. He ultimately placed 3rd in the San Marino Song Contest, losing out to Italian DJ Gabry Ponte. The singer has not gone without impressive attention, however. He has now amassed over 100 million total streams of his music across all music platforms, and seems to be here to stay. His latest single, “Так стається”, is an indie-pop track, featuring his iconic raspy vocals and a somewhat country style guitar line, with a modern rap-pop twist.
🇪🇸 Mawot – “Santuario” & “No Hay Manera”
Mawot finished in 8th place in the final of Benidorm Fest 2025, with his song “Raggio di sole”. This week sees two releases from the singer, “Santuario”, a dark, intriguing alt-electronica song, and “No Hay Manera”, the new single from DJ Vincente One More Time on which Mawot features. The second of these releases is a heavier tech-dance track with an uptempo beat and a fast paced electro sound. Mawot is serving both sides of electronica to us this week!
🇧🇪 Grace – “Moto Mami”
Energetic, electric pop star Grace took part in Belgium’s 2025 Eurosong national final with her up-tempo track “Pull Up”. Latest single “Moto Mami” is a great RnB record, with an insanely catchy, danceable chorus. This style of music really works for Grace. She effortlessly blends modern RnB and dance with her aforbeat, Congolese roots. This is great.
🇺🇦🇸🇲 GRISANA – “Reputasion”
GRISANA was announced as one of the wildcard artists for the 2025 edition of Ukraine’s Vidbir national selection. The “Kohoney” singer unfortunately failed to make it through to the televised final of the contest, and so pivoted to San Marino to enter their national final. However, after qualifying for the semi-finals of Una Voce per San Marino 2025, GRISANA withdrew suddenly before the show to focus on new music. Latest single from GRISANA “Reputation” blends electronica, rap and RnB to create a really impressive sound.
