๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Kรครคrijรค & Joost release new collaboration “Hyvรครค puuta”

Eurovision fan favourites Kรครคrijรค and Joost have joined forces once again for another collaboration. The pair, who represented Finland in the 2023 Contest and the Netherlands in the 2024 Contest respectively, have released another single together. This week, Kรครคrijรค and Joost release new song “Hyvรครค puuta”.

About “Hyvรครค puuta”

Kรครคrijรค and Joost, back together again. The Eurovision 2023 and 2024 participants for Finland and the Netherlands have this week joined forces once again for a new single. The new track, “Hyvรครค puuta”, is an uptempo, tech-dance track, with classic Joost and Kรครคrijรค chaos.

The accompanying music videos sees the duo in a dark, almost post-apocalyptic setting, duelling, chopping wood, firing pistols and raving to the new sound. The song and music video combine the most exciting and memorable of each of the artists’ personality and music style, blending chaos with dance to create a high-energy tribute to a legendary musician.

“Hyvรครค puuta” takes its title from the 2009 Finnish track of the same name by musician Vesa-Matti Loiri. Kรคarijรค has spoken previously about his admiration for the musician, and introduced the original track to Joost. The pair’s spin on the track, as well as the music video, are dedicated to Vesa-Matti Loiri’s memory.

Vesa-Matti Loiri took part in Eurovision in The Hague, representing Finland back in 1980, with the song “Huilumies”. He would finish in last place with just 6 points in the 1980 Contest. The legendary Finnish singer, actor and comedian died in 2022 after a battle with cancer.

The tracks follows the pair’s previous collaboration “TRAFIK!”, back in 2024, as well as Kรครคrijรค’s appearance during Joost’s 2026 Coachella performance. The duo also recently joined Estonia’s 2025 representative Tommy Cash for a three-track EP “Boyband”.

Kรครคrijรค is on tour across Europe throughout October and November 2026. For more information and tickets for his ‘Eurodisko’ tour, check either his social media or ticket website. Joost is due to be touring China, Australia and New Zealand at the end of 2026. For more information and tickets, check the Joost tour website.

Who is Joost?

Joost Klein was born in the Netherlands in 1997. In 2010, he started a YouTube channel under the name EenhoornJoost. At the age of 13, Joost lost his father to cancer. The following year, his mother also died. Joost spent the remainder of his childhood being raised by siblings. As a YouTuber, Joost created videos mainly focussed on sketch comedy and documentary style vlogs, before pivoting towards music. He released his debut EP Dakloos in 2016.

In 2023, Joost achieved his first hit in Germany, with the single “Friesenjung”. The track was a collaboration with German musician Ski Aggu, and an adaptation of a song by Otto Waalkes. The song reached #1 on the German Single Top 100. In the summer of 2026, Joost made history as the first Dutch language artist to perform at Coachella. He was joined on stage for a surprise performance by Kรครคrijรค at the festival. Joost became a coach on The Voice van Vlaanderen in Belgium for the show’s tenth season.

Joost’s Eurovision journey

Following a social media campaign and fan-made petition, Joost Klein was internally selected to represent the Netherlands in Eurovision for the 2024 Contest. He performed the song โ€œEuropapaโ€ in the second of the Semi-Finals. Joost qualified to the Saturday Final, placing second in his Semi-Final with 182 points. He was ultimately disqualified on the morning of the Grand Final due to a backstage incident, and did not perform in the show in Malmรถ. It had been speculated that Joost may return to the Contest in 2025, with a song reportedly ready to go, but the singer chose not to participate ahead of the Contest in Basel.

Who is Kรครคrijรค

Jere Mikael Pรถyhรถnen, known mostly to fans as Kรครคrijรค, was born in Helsinki, Finland, in 1993. He started producing music in 2014, after learning to play the drums in his teen years. His stage name comes from his love of gambling, and the Finnish phrase ‘kรครคriรค rahaa’ (loosely translated into English as ‘make a fast buck’). Kรครคrijรค released most of his early music independently until 2017, when he was signed to the music label Monsp Records. Under the label, he released his first EP “Peliรค” in 2018, and followed with full length album “Fantastista” in 2020. Kรครคrija won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Nordic Act in 2023. In recent years, he has collaborated with Tommy Cash, Joost, Baby Lasagna, Erika Vickman and SANNI on a number of projects.

Kรครคrijรค’s Eurovision journey

Ahead of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, Kรครคrijรค took part in Finland’s national selection UMK. His entry for the national final, “Cha Cha Cha”, was co-written by Kรครคrijรค himself, with Aleksi Nurmi and Johannes Naukkarinen. The song became an early fan favourite in the Finnish selection, and won the UMK final almost 400 points ahead of the second place entry. This earned Kรครคrijรค the right to represent Finland at the Contest in Liverpool.

Kรครคrija perfromed “Cha Cha Cha” in the first of the Semi-Finals in Liverpool, placing first out of the 15 countries and qualifying to the Grand Final. At the close of voting in Liverpool, Kรครคrijรค placed first with the public televote, scoring 376 points, and fourth with the international juries, with 150 points. Overall, he received 526 point, placing second to Loreen’s “Tattoo” by just 57 points.

Following his status as an iconic fan favourite in the Song Contest, Kรครคrijรค has returned to the Eurovision stage on a number of occasions. For the Contest in Malmรถ, in 2024, Kรครคrijรค appeared during the 2nd Semi-Final interval act. He performed a small section of “Cha Cha Cha” in a tongue-in-cheek what-could-have-been interval act. He was due to award the votes from the Finnish Jury in the Grand Final, but withdrew at the last minute. In 2025, Kรครคrijรค once again returned to the Contest stage, performing alongside Baby Lasagna during the Grand Final interval. At the end of the performance, Kรครคrijรค can briefly be heard shouting the phrase “Europapa”. This was the name of Joost’s Eurovision entry, which had represented the Netherlands in Malmรถ the previous year prior to Joost’s disqualification.
