If you want to jump straight to a specific section, here’s a list of pages, each filled to the brim with excellent music:

2026 national final artists

🇪🇸 Tony Grox – “LA JUERGA”

Tony Grox won the 2026 edition of Spain’s Benidorm Fest with the huge viral hit “T AMARÉ”, alongside singer LUCYCALYS. Despite Spain not being present in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, “T AMARÉ” has far out-streamed many of the songs that were. If situations were different behind the scenes in Eurovision, this may have been a breakout hit of the 2026 Contest. Nevertheless, DJ and producer Tony Grox is a successful, impressive star to come out of the Benidorm Fest show. This week, Tony releases latest album “LA JUERGA”. There are some impressive features on this record (including Benidorm Fest 2025 fan-favourite Lachispa, featured later in this list) but Tony Grox is the musical genius here. This album absolutely solidifies his recent Benidorm Fest win. It’s full of Spanish flair, electro beats and energy. LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM.

🇳🇴🇩🇪 Mileo ft. wavvyboi – “The Bride”

What a collaboration! Both Mileo and wavvyboi competed in national finals in their home countries earlier this year. Mileo returned to the Norwegian MGP stage for a second time, with his dark-pop song “Frankenstein”. wavvyboi placed second in Germany’s Das Deutsche Finale in 2026 with their song “black glitter”, narrowly beaten to the win by Sarah Engels. The musician released the song “some of us aren’t made for heaven” earlier in the month. With Mileo joining wavvyboi on their Europe leg of their 2026 tour, this is the perfect collaboration. Halloween season has arrived. This is exactly how you imagine a collaboration of Mileo and wavvyboi to sound. Exquisite, spooky work.

🇸🇪🇺🇸🇰🇷 AleXa – “sixteen”

American-Korean singer-songwriter AleXa seems determined to appear in every international iteration of the Eurovision franchise. Back in 2022, the singer won the first (and so far only) edition of the American Song Contest. She represented Oklahoma with the song “Wonderland”, taking the American Song Contest crown. Earlier this year, the singer made an appearance in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen, performing “Tongue Tied” in the fifth heat. She mad it to the final qualification round, but was unable to reach the final. More recently, she has appeared in the song writing credits for one of the competing songs in the inaugural edition of Eurovision Asia. Alongside artist JUNHEE, AleXa appears on the credits for Korea’s Eurovision Asia entry “DEEP DIVE”. Safe to say, she is an international Eurovision icon at this point, despite never stepping foot on the Eurovision Song Contest stage herself.

This week, AleXa releases her most recent solo single, “sixteen”. This is high energy, liquid electro-pop. AleXa’s blend of K-pop, hyperpop and fresh, modern sound make this an exciting track.

🇱🇺 Irem – “Ich vermisse mich”

Singer-songwriter Irem appeared in this year’s edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest national final, with the upbeat, multilingual track “Bad Decisions (Hush Hush)”. She placed 3rd in the superfinal round of the selection. This week, she releases German language single, “Ich vermisse mich”. The track is a melodic, beat-heavy alt-pop record, with a really catchy chorus.

🇦🇱🇸🇲 Sheila – “Vec Ty”

Sheila took part in both the Albanian and San Marinese national selections for Eurovision ahead of the 2026 Contest in Vienna, with her song “Zemra e Tokës”. Although finishing 3rd in Albania’s FiK 64 music festival, she re-entered the song in the San Marino Song Contest, where she did not make the final. Sheila returns with a new dance single this week, in the form of “Vec Ty”. This blends her recognisable vocal tone with house beats and the finished product is a really nice sound.

🇳🇴 Gothminister – “WE ARE ALL DEMONS”

Gothminister has been a gothic metal band in the Norwegian music scene since the 1990s. In 2024, the band competed in the Melodi Grand Prix selection show with the song “We Come Alive”, making it through to the final. They had previously competed in the show in 2013, and once again entered MGP in 2026 with “The Spell”, but failed to make it through the wildcard round to the final. After a string of recent releases, Gothminister have finally released the much anticipated “WE ARE ALL DEMONS” album. This is huge arena, sing-a-long, pop-rock, elctro-metal, and I love every moment of it. Horns up. Shout it out. Let’s go.

🇩🇪 Malou Lovis – “soft season”

Germany’s Malou Lovis missed out on a spot in the superfinal of the Das Deutsches Finale in 2026 with her song “When I’m With You”. The queer singer-songwriter has continued to release new singles since then, with the immaculate “i’m not here for you” released earlier in the year, as well as “chasing love and missing people”. Both of those tracks now find a home on the new EP from Malou “soft season”, which was released a fortnight ago. This week, Malou adds “a day or two” to the EP. It’s a beautiful, in parts delicate and emotional, and in parts celebratory collection of songs from the musician. She truly is one of my favourites to feature in any national finals in recent years. Just a superb vocal talent with great indie-pop songs.

🇸🇪 JULIETT – “Känna nåt mer”

JULIETT, formerly known as J1, is a five-piece Swedish boy band that many regard (myself included) as robbed from a place in the final of this year’s Melodifestivalen. Their Swedish language pop song “Långt från alla andra” failed to make it out of heat 5 of this year’s national final, but the boys have not disappeared quietly, with their Mello track amassing nearly 5 million streams on Spotify so far. This week, the band is back with the “Känna nåt mer” EP. The track “Känna nåt” has an element of late 80s early 90s synth-pop, whilst still sounding fresh and modern. “Kyss mig” is more of a sing-a-long boyband sound, but still modern and full of heart. Swedish Indie-pop is really having a good moment, and I need these boys back in Mello soon.

🇱🇹 Freya Alley – “Follow the Light”

Freya Alley took part in this year’s Eurovizija.LT national final with her song “No Kiss Goodbye”. She would ultimately place 7th in the fourth heat of the selection show. Freya has since released a number of singles, most recent of which is ethereal electro-folk-pop song “Follow the Light”. This has elements of Kate Bush or Björk about it, but in a more modern, dark way. Look, this really isn’t my sort of music but I can absolutely appreciate the quirky nature and immense talent of Freya on this song. This is by far the most alternative, intriguing song to come from the upcoming album, and I’m absolutely intrigued to hear the finished record.

🇷🇸 Zejna “Do kraja”

Zejna has appeared in Serbia’s national final for Eurovision many times over recent years. Most recent of these appearances, and perhaps most successful, was this year’s edition of PzE with her song “Jugoslavija”, finishing in second place. Latest single “Do kraja” is really exciting. This is beat-heavy, with ethereal vocals and a big electro-pop sound. Zejna is a talent and the fact she’s never taken the win in PzE shocks me every time I hear her work.

🇪🇪 Minimal Wind – “Teed seda meelega”

Estonian electro-pop-rock band Minimal Wind have attempted to represent their country on multiple occasions in recent years. Their best result in the Eesti Laul national final came in 2022, placing second with elisabeth tiffany and the song “What to Make of This”. They appeared in Eesti Laul again earlier this year, collaborating with ANT on “Wounds (Don’t Wanna Fall)”. This week see the release of “Teed seda meelega”. This is more of an indie-country-rock sound from Minimal Wind than some of their more electro-infused singles, but this is still absolutely a great track.

🇺🇦 Valeriya Force – “Something About You” & “People In My Head”

Valeriya Force delivered a big, anthemic vocal in her Vidbir 2026 appearance with the song “Open Our Hearts”. The mix of ballad and dance track made it instantly a stand out moment in this year’s Ukrainian national final. Since her attempt to represent her country and Eurovision earlier this year, Valeriya has been busy with new music, including the release of eurodance track “Glory” at the end of Summer. This week, Valeriya returns with two singles, “Something About You” and “People In My Head”. The first of the releases, “Something About You”, is pure electro-pop fantasy. “People In My Head” is more of a darker, Halloween party track, with intriguing beats, but still an insanely catchy pop chorus.

🇷🇴🇸🇲 Edward Maya – “Feona”

I don’t think it counts as a ThatEurovisionSite New Music Round-up article without a feature from Edward Maya. I think this man has appeared on almost every single round-up so far this year. And that’s purely because of the amount of music this DJ creates. Edward Maya will most likely be known as the DJ and producer of huge eurodance anthem “Stereo Love”, back in the early 2010s. But this year, the musician entered both Selcția Naționalǎ in Romania with the song “Everybody Needs Somebody”, and San Marino Song Contest with the song “Balla”. The artists may also be known to fans as one of the creators of Romania’s 2006 Eurovision entry “Tornerò”, performed by Mihai Trăistariu.

This week, Edward has yet another release, in the form of new single “Feona”. The track is another collaboration with T3rminal, and needs the volume turned UP! this is thumping club beats, the kind of music Edward Maya seems to enjoy releasing every single week. Gym playlist? Club playlist? Party playlist? He’s got you covered.

2025 national final artists

🇦🇱 Elvana Gjata – “SHERRIN”

Albania pop diva Elvana Gjata has twice finished in 2nd place in the final of the country’s Festivali I Këngës, the festival used to selected the artist for the following year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Elvana was the bookies favourite before finishing 2nd in the final of FiK in 2019 with the song “Me Tana”, and again in 2024 with “Karneval”. She continues to be a fan favourite in national final circles, and has her own brand of girly-pop R&B artistry.

With the FiK artist list released earlier this week, many of these fans were surprised to see Elvana missing from this year’s edition of the festival. Though nothing official has come from Elvana or her team, recent media speculation in Albania’s rumouring that the singer is pregnant, which could explain her non-return to FiK. Or, that is media being way too speculative, and Elvana simply didn’t want to compete this year. Either way, fans will be grateful for the release of new single “SHERRIN” this week. The song is a powerful pop-ballad, with a blend of folk and Hip-hop in the instrumental. Fresh. Modern. Exciting.

🇫🇮 Nelli Matula – “Menestys on paras tapa kostaa (Vain elämää)”

Nelli Matula appeared in Finland’s UMK national final back in 2025, with her big electro-pop track “Hitaammin hautaan”. The musician has gone on to have a hugely successful career in Finland, with millions of streams across many of her recent releases. Nelli is currently taking part in Finland’s Vain elämää TV show, and this week takes on the music of Ares in the form of “Menestys on paras tapa kostaa”. This is vibey, emotionally charged rap, with classic Nelli energy.

Vain elämää (meaning “It’s only life” in Finnish) is a popular Finnish reality music television series, where a group of well-known Finnish musicians live and record music together. Each show features the music of a specific member of the group, with the original artist listening and reacting to the new interpretations of their song. The final episode usually features duets or group performances. The show is an adaptation of the Dutch format De beste zangers van Nederland. The title of the show comes from the classic 1973 song “Vain elämää” by legendary Finnish singer Irwin Goodman. The show premiered in 2012, and has become one of Finland’s most successful and longest-running reality television programs, spanning numerous seasons and featuring dozens of Finland’s top recording artists. This week, the musical theme came from the hits of Greek-born, Finnish rapper and song-writer Ares.

🇺🇦 FIÏNKA – “Буревій”

Ukrainian singer and actress Fiïnka has appeared in Ukraine’s national selection show multiple times, most recently in 2025 with the track “Kultura”. She placed fifth in Vidbir with “Kultura” and has continued to release music to large success. This week sees her team up with post-punk singer, producer and songwriter SadSvit on his latest single “Буревій”. The song is full of synths and electro-funk. This is really fresh and captivating.

🇪🇸 Lachispa – “EMBUSTERO”

Spanish flamenco-pop singer Lachispa became one of the fan favourites in Spain’s Benidorm Fest in 2025, with her big vocals, and flamenco dance-pop track “Hartita de llorar”. This week, she features on the latest album from Benidorm Fest 2026 winner Tony Grox. The album as a whole is great, but Lachispa deservers her own section for this track. Because it is great. The song, “EMBUSTERO”, is a blend of electronica, rap, flamenco and Spanish dance. This is absolutely the biggest ear-worm of this week’s list for me.

🇱🇹 Petunija – “Supuok Supuok”

Four time Lithuanian national final entrant Petunija is back with a new single! The singer most recently entered the Eurovision selection show Eurovizija.LT with “Į saldumą”, which came 8th in the final of the 2025 show. Latest single “Supuok Supuok” is pure indie. I feel like I want to be in a small, yet packed-out music venue, witnessing Petunija perform this song.

🇪🇪 Felin – “President Of My Own Fanclub”

Okay, so full honesty, Felin’s 2025 Eesti Laul entry “Solo Anthem” is one of my all time most played national final songs. The track is the ultimate teen angst guilty pleasure to me, and Elin Blom absolutely sold the live performance for me in the 2025 national final. Felin performed in the 16-song final of Eesti Laul in 2025, finishing in sixth place with the international jury, earning 34 points, but did not advance to the superfinal round. The selection was ultimately won by Tommy Cash and “Espresso Macchiato” which gave Estonia one of their best results in recent Eurovision memory, so it would be hard to argue, but a part of me still prefers “Solo Anthem”. And for that reason, I have to say, I have personally been anticipating this new album “President Of My Own Fanclub” A LOT. And it does not disappoint. A handful of the songs had been released as singles before this week, and the record includes the aforementioned “Solo Anthem”, but the finished album as a whole is pure pop-punk girl boss. Felin is great. Say no more. This is going to be on repeat for me for a while.

🇵🇹 Peculiar – “Debaixo da minha pele”

Despite only placing 10th in Portugal’s Festival da Canção, Peculiar’s “Adamastor” became a standout hit of the 2025 national final season for me personally. Blending Portuguese pop and dance with a modern Mediterranean electro-sound, the musician has released a number of singles recently, all of them incredibly exciting. This week, Peculiar features on the new Djenga single, “Debaixo da minha pele”. This is dark, intriguing and tense in a really exciting way. It’s more of an electro-heavy sound than most of Peculiar’s solo work, but I actually think he shines on this sort of music.

🇮🇹 Giorgia – “G+1”

Italian songstress Giorgia is a certified Sanremo legend. The singer won the Festival di Sanremo back in 1995 with the song “Come Saprei”, during the period in which Italy’s broadcast Rai were not as committed to Eurovision participation as today. Giorgia has twice returned to the Festival in recent years, competing in 2023 with the song “Parole dette male” and again in 2025 with “La cura per me”. She has yet to get a chance to represent her country in Eurovision, but nevertheless, she is an icon of Sanremo, and of Italian music in general. Giorgia’s much anticipated new album “G+1” has been released this week, and it is truly a work of art. Just listen to this in its entirety please.

🇷🇸 tam – “ŠEĆER I SO”

tam competed in the 2025 Pesma za Euroviziju national selection in Serbia with her uptempo dance-pop hit “Durum durum”. Most recent single “ŠEĆER I SO” has been released this week, and is a great follow-up. The track is girl-boss vibes, atop an electro-trap beat. What’s not to love?!

🇺🇦 DK Energetyk – “Сажа”

Ukrainian post-punk band DK Energetyk made the list of artists in 2025’s Vidbir national selection, with their song “Sil”. This opens with a Nirvana-like guitar riff, before getting dark and punkier, with a soulful vocal to it. As a stand-alone song, this is amazing.

🇮🇹 Shablo, Guè, Tormento & Noemi – “Luci e ombre”

All four of these artists appeared in the 2025 edition of Italy’s Festival di Sanremo music show. Shablo, Guè & Tormeto competed (alongside Joshua) with the song “La Mia Parola”, and Noemi with the song “Se T’innamori Muori”. 2025 marked the 8th entry in Sanremo for Noemi, so the Italian pop-soul singer is absolutely one to watch for a feature appearance. This week, however, the four team up to release “Luci e ombre”. Noemi gives a fresh, lightness to an otherwise raspy rap track, but in a way that compliments every featured artists’ talents.
