Danish Eurovision 2025 representative, and DMGP 2026 returnee, Sissal, is back with new music. The “Hallucination” singer, who represented her country in the Grand Final of the Basel Eurovision Contest has this week released new single “Ik’Jaloux”.
About “Ik’Jaloux”
Faroese singer-songwriter Sissal has today released her latest single “Ik’Jaloux”. The Eurovision 2025 performer for Denmark follows recently released single “Blond For Dig” with a new track describing the mad scenario of jealousy and insecurity someone can fall in when love takes over their body.
“Ik’Jaloux”, which means ‘Not Jealous’ when translated into the English language, is a high energy, dance-pop song with electro beats and a catchy chorus. The track is the latest of Sissal’s to be in the Danish language, following her Eurovision participation. Describing the process of creating the new track, Sissal said:
Christopher Chordz, Jacob Buchardt and I were sitting in the studio writing this song while we were talking about that weird feeling when you’ve always seen yourself as a confident person, but then suddenly you fall in love, and a completely new and insecure side of you emerges????? Especially because you have a past yourself and know very well how things work. But all of a sudden you get hit by that irrational jealousy, where you think: WHAT DO YOU EVEN NEED TO USE YOUR EYES FOR?! WHICH OTHER LADIES YOU GOTTA LOOK AT OUT OVER ME ???
The new single was written by Sissal herself, alongside Christopher Rohde-Frisk (Chris Chordz) and Jacob Buchardt (Young Jake). The Faroese singer is due to be appearing at the annual Het Grote Songfestivalfeest in Amsterdam later this month, alongside a number of other artists.
