The most recent win for the UK was in 1997 with Katrina and the Waves singing “Love Shine A Light.” The UK also holds the record for the number of second-place finishes – currently 16.
In 2022, Sam Ryder represented the UK with his song “Space Man”, which saw him win the Jury Vote and coming 2nd Overall, which is the UK’s best result since placing in the 21st century since placing 3rd in 2002.
