After their successful participation in Turin, TVP is now getting ready for Junior Eurovision 2022, and their selection ‘Szansa na Sukces Eurowizija Junior 2022’. It was recently announced that Junior Eurovision 2019 host Olek Sikora will be the host of this year’s show.
Szansa na Sukces Eurowizija Junior 2022 to take place in September
After its success in 2021, Poland will once again use Szansa na Sukces to select their representative for Junior Eurovision 2022. During May 2022, TVP held an open audition, where children Ages 9-13 were able to audition.
With Olek being announced as the host of Szansa na Sukces Eurowizija Junior, it was revealed that the new season will debut in September (with exact dates to be confirmed). Four episodes (3x Qualifying Rounds, and a Final) will air.
Poland’s Junior Eurovision Journey
In 2003, Poland was one of the countries that participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, where they were represented by Katarzyna Żurawik with the song “Coś mnie nosi” which placed 16th. Poland participated for another year, before going on a 12-year break and returning in 2016. Since returning to the competition, they have participated six times and managed to achieve a back-to-back win in 2018 and 2019.
Their recent participation in 2021, saw them being represented by Sara James, with the song “Somebody” which placed 2nd overall, receiving 218 points from the jury and online vote combined.
