With September, just around the closer, we are closer to finding out who will represent Poland at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It has now been revealed Poland will be selecting its representative for Yerevan on September 25.
3x Semi-Final and a Final to select Poland’s representative for Yerevan
As reported by ESCPlus.es, the new season of Szansa na Sukces Eurowizija Junior 2022 will commence on the 4th of September, where 3 Semi-Finals will take place each Sunday, with the Final taking place on the 25th of September, with all of the shows airing at TVP2.
This year’s edition of Szansa na Sukces Eurowizija Junior 2022 saw some changes, which include Olek Sikora taking the hosting helms from Marek Sierocki. In addition, rule changes have been introduced including TVP being able to grant two participants in the final if they have been eliminated in the semi-final, as well as randomly selecting the song the artist will sing for Junior Eurovision 2022.
Poland’s Junior Eurovision Journey
In 2003, Poland was one of the countries that participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, where they were represented by Katarzyna ลปurawik with the song “Coล mnie nosi” which placed 16th. Poland participated for another year, before going on a 12-year break and returning in 2016. Since returning to the competition, they have participated six times and managed to achieve a back-to-back win in 2018 and 2019.
Their recent participation in 2021, saw them being represented by Sara James, with the song “Somebody” which placed 2nd overall, receiving 218 points from the jury and online vote combined.
