With less than 24 hours to go, we are starting to get the final details of this year’s contest, including the spokespersons. The next country to reveal their spokesperson this year is Italy, as they confirm that Vincenzo Cantiello will be presenting the country’s 12 Jury points in Yerevan.
The next spokesperson to be announced
It was confirmed to Eurovision outlet Eurovoix by RAI, that Italy’s only Junior Eurovision winner Vincenzo Cantiello will hand out the country’s points. Vincenzo will also be part of the eleven former Junior Eurovision winners taking to the stage during an interval act this year.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022
The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Yerevan, followingMalena’s win in the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Qami Qami“, with the competition set to take place on the 11th of December. The competing countries in this year’s competition are as follows:
- Albania – Kejtlin Gjata
- Armenia – Nare
- France – Lissandro
- Georgia – Mariam Bigvava
- Ireland – Sophie Lennon
- Italy – Chanel Dilecta
- Kazakhstan – David Charlin
- Malta – Gaia Gambuzza
- The Netherlands – Luna
- North Macedonia – Lara, Irina & Jovan
- Poland – Laura Bączkiewicz
- Portugal – Nicolas Alves
- Serbia – Katarina Savić
- Spain – Carlos Higes
- Ukraine – Zlata Dziunka

Italy’s Junior Eurovision Journey
Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu primo grande amore”. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated seven times in the contest.
Italy’s most recent participation was in 2021. Elisabetta Lizza’s “Specchio (Mirror on the Wall)” finished 10th with 107 points from the jury and online voters.
