🇵🇱 Aleksander Maląg qualifies from the 2nd Semi-Final of Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior 2022.

Yesterday, the second Semi-Final of the polish selection for the Junior Eurovision has taken place. After the show, it was revealed that Aleksander Maląg will join Laura and Natalia in the Grand Final of Szansa na Sukces.

7 young artists competed for the spot in the Grand Final

This week’s theme of the competition was previous polish JESC songs but also the themes of the contest that took place in Poland.

The juries for this week’s semi final were Lanberry (singer and songwriter who’s behind Poland’s 2018 and 2019 Junior entries), Viki Gabor (winner of the Junior Eurovision 2019) and Marek Sierocki (a music specialist and one of polish Eurovision commentators).

The third and final semi final of Szansa na Sukces will be on the 18th of September at 15:15 CEST, where the fourth and final finalist will be chosen.

Poland’s Junior Eurovision journey

In 2003, Poland was one of the countries that participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, where they were represented by Katarzyna Żurawik with the song “Coś mnie nosi” which placed 16th. Poland participated for another year, before going on a 12-year break and returning in 2016. Since returning to the competition, they have participated five times, and managing to achieve a back-to-back win in 2018 and 2019.

Their recent participation in 2021, saw them being represented by Sara James, with the song “Somebody” which placed 2nd overall, receiving 218 points from the jury and online vote combined.
