By Tim J Jan 28, 2023

With just one week to go until Sweden commences its Eurovision 2023 selection Melodifestivalen and tour all over Sweden, Swedish broadcaster has revealed the stage in which the competing artists will be revealed at.

A smart variation of last year’s stage

The Swedish broadcaster has revealed that much of the 2022 stage was re-used for environmental purposes, whilst giving it a new look as mentioned by Viktor Brattström who was the scenographer for this year’s stage:

We want to keep the live feeling and everything else that was good about the stage in 2022. The audience and the artists should get close to each other, because it creates a wonderful energy that the TV viewers can also feel. In addition, we want to reuse as much as possible

In 2022, the stage had a long staircase in the front, which has now been split in two on the sides, with the stage having a pointed end. The stage also features a huge LED screen on the back, which can be opened up, with additional smaller LED screens also being added.
