Ahead of the final of Melodifestivalen this weekend, Max gets the chance to sit down with Marcus and Martinus for an interview. They are competing in Melodifestivalen with her song “Air”.

During the interview Max and the boys talk about the support they have received from the Swedish audience. They also speak about how the staging helps convey the personal meanings behind their song.
About Marcus and Martinus
Marcus and Martinus are from Elverum in Norway. The brother found fame in 2012 on the Junior version of Melodi Geand Prix, in which they won. In 2022 they won The Masked Singer Sverige, making names for themselves in Sweden. Following on from this appearance they are now taking part in Melodifestivalen with the song “Air”. “Air” was written by Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt, Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, as well as the brothers themselves.
Sweden’s Eurovision Journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since its debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win six times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015).
In 2022, Sweden was represented by Cornelia Jakobs, who won the 61st edition of the competition and competed with the song “Hold Me Closer”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final and placed 4th with 438 points from the jury and televoters.
