They talk about how they prepare for their live performances, the family becoming part of the massive Eurovision family, and about combining their own music careers into this family supergroup.

About Albina & Familja Kelmendi

Albina Kelmendi has been mesmerizing audiences in Albania and beyond with her voice and music. Since finishing runner up in The VOice of Albania 2014, she has released one album and numerous singles. For Eurovision 2023, she is joined by the rest of her very musically inclined family: mother Albana, father Bujar, brother Albin, and sisters Vesa and Sidorela. With each of the family members being active in the music industry in their own right, they truly form a family supergroup.

Albania’s Eurovision Journey

In 2004, Albania made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest with Anjeza Shahini with “Image of You” which managed to place 7th in the final. Since their debut, Albania has participated 18 times, and made the final 10 times, with their best result in 2012 where Rona Nishliu placed 5th with “Suus”. In 2022, Ronela Hajati represented Albania with “Sekret”. However, despite being a fan favourite, Albania did not manage to make the final, placing 12th with 58 points from both the juries and televoters.
