With the Junior Eurovision 2023 season in full swing, countries are starting to find their representative, with Poland commencing its selection, Szansa na sukces. Eurowizja Junior 2023 this weekend. Ahead of the show on Sunday, the participating artists have been revealed.
Seven artists competing in the first semi-final
As reported by Dziennik Eurowizyjny, the seven artists competing in this week’s competition are as follows, which is made up of previous participants, as well as participants of the Polish edition of The Voice Kids:
- Leon Olek
- Daria Malicka
- Oliwia Majewska
- Milosz Zarzeka
- Patrycja Kulicka
- Hania Adamczyk
- Elena Popowicz
This week, the compting artists will be signing ‘International Hits’. As for the judges, Marek Sierocki will be joined by Sara James (Poland’s Junior Eurovision 2021 representative), and Tulia (Poland’s Eurovision 2019 representative), with Olek Sikora hosting the competition once again.
Poland’s Junior Eurovision Journey
In 2003, Poland was one of the countries that participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, where they were represented by Katarzyna Ε»urawik with the song “CoΕ mnie nosi” which placed 16th. Poland participated for another year, before going on a 12-year break and returning in 2016. Since returning to the competition, they have participated five times, and managing to achieve a back-to-back win in 2018 and 2019.
Their recent participation in 2022, saw them being represented by Laura, with the song “To The Moon” which placed 10th overall, receiving 96 points from the jury and online vote combined.
