As preparations for Israel’s Eurovision 2024 selection ‘HaKokhav HaBa’ continue, Keshet 12 has announced that the final set of auditions will take place this Sunday, the 10th of September.

Auditions to take place in Tel Aviv

The program has advertised the auditions on its socials as a “last chance to represent Israel” at Eurovision 2024, following the return of Israel using the show as a selection for Eurovision. The auditions will take place on the 10th of September at Pavilion 2 of the Expo Convention and Exhibition Center in Tel Aviv, which was the venue for Eurovision 2019. You can find out more about the audition process right here.

As we have previously reported, the new season of the show is already in production, with the new season of the show set to commence airing in November.

Israel’s Eurovision journey

Israel has a long and wealthy history in the Eurovision Song Contest, making their debut in 1973 with Ilanit and “Ey Sham”. Their first entry scored 97 points, placing 4th. Israel has since gone on to win the Contest on four separate occasions – in 1978, 1979, 1998 and 2018.

Noa Kirel represented Israel in Liverpool during the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song “Unicorn”. Performing at the first semi-final, Israel qualified for the final in 3rd place. In the final itself, Noa finished in 3rd place with a total of 362 points – 177 points from the jury and 185 from the televote.
