Who are Melissa & Rayna?

Melissa and Rayna met and became friends during their time in Italyโ€™s first edition of The Voice Kids. During some struggles in her personal life, Melissa found love and passion for music. Melissaโ€™s love for music led her to win The Voice Kids, since then her friendship with Rayna has grown stronger and they have both found success on TikTok.

In 2023, Melissa & Rayna were internally chosen to represent Italy at Junior Eurovision 2023, and will represent Italy with their entry “Un Mondo Giusto”.

Italy’s Junior Eurovision Journey

Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song โ€œTu primo grande amoreโ€. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated seven times in the contest.

Italy’s most recent participation was in 2022. Chanel Dilecta’s “BLA, BLA, BLA” finished 11th with 95 points from the jury and online voters.
