As we now have the songs competing for this year’s competition in Malmö, the team at That Eurovision Site will be reacting to the entries that will be participating at Eurovision 2024. The next Eurovision 2024 entry we will be reacting to is Finland, who will be competing in this year’s competition with “No Rules” by Windows95man.
Our thoughts on “No Rules”
In this series, we will be providing our opinions in two methods. One of our team members will be reacting on video, which you can see below, whilst up to three other members will be giving their written opinion on the entry. Tim will be on the main seat and will be giving his reaction to “No Rules”
What did the other members of the team think of “No Rules”?
Jazzi : This is just a banger in my opinion. I feel this will get everyone up and dancing during the show. I also think this is going to be a Euroclub favourite for many years to come. I feel this will definitely bring Finland to the final again, and likely give them another top 10 televote appearance, I am unsure if the fanfare will be as big as Käärijä’s but this is a really decent follow up.
Daniel: Super fun! Wouldn’t have been my personal choice, but I think there is far more to enjoy here than a lot of people are taking credit for, especially with the vocal talents of Henri Piispanen. For better or worse, I can see this song more than most making an impact on the casual Eurovision 2024 viewer, it’s sure to be a memorable performance on the night, and with a song that is destined to be a club banger, I’m already looking at Windows 95 shirts to bring to Malmö in May.

Finland’s Eurovision Journey
Finland debuted in the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing 10th with Laila Kunnunen’s “Valoa ikkunassa.” Since then they have competed 56 times, and appeared in the final 48 times. Finland has finished in the top 10 an impressive 14 times. They have won the contest once in 2006, with Lordi’s performance of “Hard Rock Hallelujah” getting 292 points.
Finland’s most recent entry was “Cha Cha Cha” by Käärijä. He won the first semi-final in Liverpool, thus qualifying for the final. At the close of voting, he gained a total of 526 points, earning them 2nd place – Finland’s second best result of all time. Käärijä received 376 points from the televote, and an extra 150 points from the juries.
