The Core Team that will oversee the creation of Eurovision 2025 has been revealed by host broadcaster SRG SSR.

The core team makes up representatives of the host broadcaster that will oversee specific areas with regards to hosting. They are overseen by the executive producers to ensure that the production of the contest is going smoothly.

Who are the Core Team members?

This year’s team is significantly larger when compared to last year’s representatives from SVT; with this year’s consisting of 13 people, while the Swedish was only six. This year’s team is comprised of:

Yves Schifferle – who takes the role of Head of Show; having previously been responsible as the Swiss HoD (a role now held by Daniel Meister for this year). It will be his job to ensure all content for the live broadcasts outwith the performances are made.

Christer Björkman – The veteran Eurovision TV producer and former participant will reprise his role as Head of Contest for the seventh time. This role is closely associated with the Head of Show and will see the Swede work together with Yves.

Bernhard Spahni – will act as Head of PMO – having experience of such roles with the likes of the International Olympic Committee.

Manfred Winz – shall be the Head of Finance for next year’s contest.

Tobias Åberg – takes the role of Head of Production, a role he has had in one form of another over the last eight years, and will see him overseeing the technical aspects of the stage performances.

Nadja Burkhardt-Tracol – will be the Head of Event and act as a liaison between the host city and the EBU.

Aurore Chatard – takes the role of Head of Security.

Kevin Stuber – will be the Head of Legal.

Thomas Pittino – will be the Head of Marketing & Funding.

Vassilis Donikian – will act as the Head of HR.

Nicole Beutler – will take the role of Head of Public Affairs.

Henriette Engbersen – will act as the person in charge of Public Value.

Till Jendly – will act as an Assistant during the host of ESC 2025, but such a role was not elaborated on.

All About Eurovision 2025

Switzerland will be hosting the 69th edition of the competition following Nemo’s historic win at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö. A few weeks after their win, it was already announced that Reto Peritz, and Moritz Stadler will be the Executive Producers of next year’s shows, with the other roles to be filled at a later date.

The following cities have confirmed that they have submitted a bid to host Eurovision 2025:

With the bidding period now over, the candidate cities will now present their bid, with site visits commenced at the beginning of July. By the end of July 2024, SRG SSR is set to reveal the two potential host cities that are still in the running, with the winning Eurovision 2025 host city to be revealed by the end of August.
