Experienced people taking the helm for Eurovision 2024
Ebba Adielsson, who is currently the Head of SVT Nöje has been appointed as the Executive Producer of Eurovision 2024, and will ultimately be in charge of
I am very proud and happy about this extraordinary assignment and can now finally present the first key roles and management of the core team that will lead the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. It is not possible to find a more experienced trio in this context and it feels extremely safe to have them on board in this gigantic and very complex production
The other members of the Core Team are as follows:
Christel Tholse Willers was appointed executive producer responsible for communication, press, branding and events in collaboration with the host city. Christel also had a similar role when Malmö hosted Eurovision in 2013 and also has a solid background in Melodifestivalen, as an executive producer.
Tobias Åberg will be responsible for all technical production in the role of ‘Executive in Charge of Production’ and was also part of the core team for Eurovision 2013 and 2016. Since then, he has acted as Head of Production or technical expert on ESC productions for the past eight years, most recently for the BBC in Liverpool.
Johan Bernhagen will be the Executive Line Producer and will thus be responsible for the economy and overall technical production together with Tobias Åberg. Johan has worked together with Martin Österdahl, being the Executive Producer for Eurovision 2016 and Head of Productions in Malmö for Eurovision 2013
In addition to this, SVT has revealed that as the submission for host cities closed on June 12, they are now in talks with several municipalities in regards to the hosting of Eurovision 2024, with the hopes of having this competed during the summer.
