About “Comme Ci, Comme Ça”

The official lyric video of “Comme Ci, Comme Ça” premiered on the official Junior Eurovision YouTube Channel:

The song was composed by Malo and was co-written by Marie Bastide, and is an ode to tolerance and love, reminding us that our differences are our strengths, with Titouan commenting about the song and the preparation for Junior Eurovision:

I’m happy that this song shows that we are rich in our diversity, no matter where we go or what we think. I hope that each time we listen to it, it will make each of us more tolerant, more caring and more respectful.

It’s crazy to think that so many people will listen to me and discover my universe. We’re preparing for the final right now, every day, with lots of vocal and stage coaching sessions.

France’s Junior Eurovision Journey

France took part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004. Represented by Thomas Pontier singing “Si on voulait bien”, France finished in 6th place earning 78 points. However, the country withdrew from the Contest, citing a ‘Eurovision overkill’. France would not rejoin the Contest until 2018. Since then, France has become a Junior Eurovision powerhouse, finishing in the top 5 in each of their four subsequent participations. France won the 2020 edition of the Contest, with Valentina singing “J’imagine”. In 2022, France won for a second time with Lissandro’s song “Oh Maman”.

France participated in the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Zoé Clauzure and the song “Cœur”. They won the contest for a second time in a row, achieving a total of 228 points. Zoé came first in the jury vote with 136 points, as well as first place in the online vote with 92 points. This 3rd win makes France the joint most successful Junior Eurovision country alongside Georgia.
