Albanian broadcaster RTSH opened submissions for Festivali i Këngës 63. This will remain open until Sunday the 29th of September.

About Festivali i Këngës 63

Festivali i Këngës 63 will be the first edition under new artistic director Elhaida Dani. It will be how Albania selects its Eurovision 2025 representative. The submission window will close on the 29th of September. While originally reported as the 10th of October, The artists who will participate in this year’s edition of Festivali i Këngës are expected to be revealed on the 8th of October.

Albania’s Eurovision History

In 2004, Albania made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest with Anjeza Shahini with “Image of You”, which placed 7th in the final. Since their debut, Albania has participated 20 times, and made the final 10 times. They achieved their best result in 2012, where Rona Nishliu placed 5th with “Suus”.

Besa represented Albania in 2024 with the song “Titan”. “Titan” performed in the second semi-final, where it ultimately placed fifteenth out of sixteen, receiving 14 points from the televote.
