Following their return to the competition in Madrid, San Marino’s broadcaster RTV San Marino have announced that they will be participating at Junior Eurovision 2025.
Reconfirmation of participation
The confirmation of San Marino’s participation comes after Idols SM met San Marino’s Secretary of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati to thank them for their participation in this year’s competition. During this time, it was then revealed that San Marino will be participating in 2025.
With the confirmation participation, 2025 will see San Marino participate in the competition for the fifth occassion. At the time of writing, it is yet to be revealed how San Marino’s representative for next year’s competition will be selected.
San Marino’s Junior Eurovision Journey
San Marino made its debut to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 with Michele Perniola and his entry “O-o-O Sole intorno a me” which placed 10th. San Marino participated two more times, with their recent attempt in 2015 with Kamilla Ismailova and her song “Mirror” which placed 14th and received 36 points overall. They then took a nine-year hiatus before returning in 2024.
The quartet Idols SM represented San Marino for their 2024 return to the contest. Their song “Come noi” received only one point from the juries, and 46 from the online vote, placing seventeenth in a field of seventeen.
