Budget cuts at ERR

Yesterday, the Estonian Public Broadcasting Council held a meeting where ERR’s budget for 2025 was approved, where it was revealed that the impact of VAT increase, alongside inflation meant that the broadcaster have had to cut back €2 Million when preparing its budget.

This meant that ERR had to make cuts in all of its programming, which even included the reduction of Eesti Laul 2025 to just a final, rather than having a Semi-Final and a Grand Final. With this, it was ultimately decided that Estonia will not be participating in Junior Eurovision 2025.
