As we enter the new year, countries continue to confirm whether they will be taking part in Junior Eurovision 2025. The latest to confirm participation at this year’s event is Italian broadcaster RAI.
Italy’s 11th participation in the competition
Italy confirmed its participation at this year’s event to Eurofestivales. At the time of writing, the broadcaster is yet to confirm how it will be selecting its representative for the 23rd edition of the competition. It is however noted that for the past two editions of the competition, their representative has participated in the latest edition of The Voice Kids Italy, which has recently concluded.
Italy’s Junior Eurovision Journey
Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu primo grande amore”. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated eight times.
Italy most recently participated in 2024. Simone Grande and his song “Pigiama Party” reached ninth place after receiving 52 points from the jury and 46 from the online vote.
